A Prince Inspired Purple Disco
Prince was one of Jonny’s favorite musicians and also part of Lily’s family life.
Jonny walked down the aisle to a gospel choir singing Electric Light Orchestra from the balcony. The room erupted before Lily entered. She wore a custom Jonathan Cohen dress made from couture fabric sourced from House of Hurel in Paris. Her veil was purple ombré lace, stitched onto a tiara her mother made by hand.
After the ceremony, guests moved downstairs to the Palm Court. Every song played that night came from between 1972 and 1986, which meant dancing all night to ABBA, The Runaways, Donna Summer. Tables were crowded with spider lilies and rare blooms and Menus referenced a 1978 Andy Warhol and Truman Capote Oscar after-party invitation.
Later in the evening, Lily changed into a floor-length silver sequined halter dress sourced from a Los Angeles vintage shop.
Roller girls passed out glow sticks and candy. Tequila Jell-O shots made their way through the room.
