When I was in the Dominican Republic for Mandy and Patrick's destination wedding, I took a day to travel the island. The wedding was in Punta Cana on the eastern coast and I rented a car so that I could travel from there to Santo Domingo, the largest city in the Dominican. As I wove my way through little villages, I was able to see a taste of their culture. I loved the slower pace of life, the conversations happening mid-day outside of local markets, and the beauty of the landscape. Santo Domingo is an amazing city with a whole lot of history, and I had a blast exploring the European-inspired streets in the Colonial Zone. Santo Domingo was the first colonized city in the Americas, and the area I visited holds many of the buildings built during that time. Here are a few images from my adventure.
Hello again, all! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend. I am sitting at my parents' today, enjoying coffee and staring out at the lovely snow that has just started falling. We had a green Christmas but the snow has just begun and is falling in thick, wet clumps. Winter is here. I am excited to share Mandy and Patrick's wedding with you today. They traveled with a small number of their friends and family to be married in the gorgeous Dominican Republic. Their wedding day was warm and beautiful. They spent the whole week hanging out with their guests, relaxing on the beach and enjoying time together. What a wonderful way to spend your wedding week!
Lindsay and Cole are Los Angeles-ians who came to Michigan to get married and party with their closest friends and family. I was there and it was awesome. I'll share more images from their wedding next week! For now, a little preview. Have a great weekend, friends!
